Easy Buffalo Recipes
Slow Cook Bison Stew
1 pound of Bison stew meat cut into 1" cubes
2 medium size onions cut into small chunks
4 medium size carrots, cut into chunks
2 stalks of celery, cut into chunks
1 can of whole undrained tomatoes 15oz.
1/4 cup of tapioca ( very important )
1 tablespoon of instant bouillon
1 heaping teaspoon of instant coffee
1/2 package frozen Peas
Preheat your oven to 250 degrees F. Put all the ingredients except the peas into a large oven proof pan and cover with foil or a lid. Now just walk away and relax. Cooking time in your preheated oven is 7 hours. If you find time you might stir it a couple of times during your day. Add the peas 1/2 hour before serving If you prefer this can also be done in your crock pot. Yields 2-3 servings
Wild West Chili Concarne
5 Pounds Buffalo Round Steak
4 cups of Beef Bouillon or broth
5 cloves of Garlic, minced
2 cans of Kidney Beans
1/2 cup of chopped Onion
2 teaspoons Cumin Seeds
1/2 cup of Olive Oil
1/2 cup of Flour
1/2 cup of Chili Powder
1/4 teaspoon of Black Pepper
1 teaspoon of Salt
2 teaspoons of Oregano


Cut Buffalo Round Steak into 1" cubes. In a large pot brown meat in Olive Oil, then add the Chili Powder and Flour by sprinkling it evenly over the meat. Continue cooking for about 5 minutes stirring well. By the end of 5 minutes all the meat should be coated with the Flour and Chili Powder mixture. Crush the Oregano and the Cumin Seeds between your hands and coat the meat with that mixture. Add the rest of the Seasonings and the Beef Broth. Bring the Chili to a boil, cover and gently simmer. Let the Chili simmer for about 5 hours, then add the Kidney Beans and chopped Onion. Cook the Chili for another 1/2 hour and serve. We recommend sprinkling grated Cheddar Cheese on top just prior to serving the individual bowls.
Crock Pot Supper
2 Pounds of Buffalo Round Steak 1" cubes
1 package of Onion Soup mix
1 can of Mushroom Soup
1 can of Tomato Soup

Roll buffalo meat in flour and brown. Put into crock pot and add the remaining ingredients. Cook on low for about 6 hours or until the meat is tender. Serve over rice or noodles. This goes great with fresh biscuits, and makes a wonderfull wholesome meal.
